Farm Fresh Dairy Products
Our lovely goats produce the fresh, sweet milk that is the beginning of all of our dairy products.  Our raw cheeses, kefirs and yogurts are all made in small batches resulting in subtle differences in taste and texture.  No fillers, no additives.  Just beautiful, simple, raw dairy products.

LIVE MILK KEFIR GRAINS
Our Milk Kefir Grains are freshly pulled from kefir made here on the farm.  They are packaged in raw goat's milk and ready to start making kefir.  Yes, they can be used with cow's milk.  We recommend doing two ferments before harvesting to drink if you are sensitive to the taste of goat's milk.  Here's how to start making kefir!

Gather Materials:  two glass quart jar; piece of butter muslin, thin dish towel or a paper coffee filter; rubber band; plastic strainer with small holes, seamless silicone spatula

Note:  Never use metal utensils or vessels with kefir

Gather Ingredients:  1 tablespoon Live Milk Kefir Grains, 3 cups milk (preferably fresh, raw milk, but pasteurized milk will work)

Place kefir grains and milk from kefir grains jar into a clean and sanitized quart glass jar
Gently add milk to jar and cover with butter muslin, thin dish towel or paper coffee filter and secure with rubber band
Let kefir sit at room temperature for approximately 24 hours (or until milk has thickened or has become sour to your liking)
Strain the kefir into a container (quart jar) and use the spatula to separate the grains from the liquid kefir
Wash and sanitize the original quart jar and place the harvested kefir grains back into the washed jar
Add fresh milk and repeat
